Our advice: If you’re genuinely interested in fitness — whether that’s trying gear, watching competitions, or scoping out brands — buy the two-day pass. There’s too much to cover properly in a single day, and you’ll want time to actually watch the live sport without rushing past the exhibitor stalls.
What’s on the Expo Floor
Over 100 fitness and wellness brands are exhibiting this year. This is the main draw for most attendees — a massive hall of nutrition companies, equipment manufacturers, apparel brands, and supplement vendors, all offering show-exclusive deals.
What to expect:
- Discounts of up to 70% off across nutrition, equipment, apparel and supplements
- Hands-on product trials (you can test equipment before buying)
- Face-to-face time with brand reps (useful if you’re a gym owner comparing suppliers)
- Free samples. Lots and lots of free samples.
Pro tip: Bring a bag. You will accumulate things. Also bring a water bottle — you’ll be walking a lot, and the venue water stations save you paying $5 for a bottle.
Live Sport Competitions
This is what sets AusFitness apart from a standard trade show. Eight live sporting competitions run across both days, and they’re all included with your expo ticket. No extra charge.
The Full Competition Lineup
Strongman: The Asylum Described by organisers as “theatre as much as sport.” This is raw, dramatic strongman competition — flipping tyres, pulling trucks, lifting stones. Expect the crowd to be loud and the athletes to be enormous. Genuinely entertaining even if you’ve never watched strongman before.
APL Pro Powerlifting Presented by the Australian Powerlifting League, this two-day competition brings lifters from across Australia and New Zealand in a fast-paced format. Squats, bench press and deadlifts at peak human output.
ICN Victoria Muscle & Model Supershow The bodybuilding and physique competition. Athletes who’ve been dieting for months step on stage. Whether you’re into the sport or not, the dedication on display is impressive.
CrossFit Expo Games Hosting the MastersHQ Victorian Semi Final. Athletes compete for a top-three finish and a spot at the MastersHQ Championship. Fast, varied, and always entertaining to watch.
Boxing Fitness Academy Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries leads this activation with live demonstrations, punch machine challenges, and workshops. If you’ve ever thought about adding boxing to your fitness routine, this is the place to start asking questions.
Street Workout 2026 Powerfree Championship Australia’s top calisthenics freestyle athletes competing. If you’ve never seen elite street workout live, prepare to question everything you thought was possible with a pull-up bar.
Australian Open Streetlifting 2026 Australia’s first internationally affiliated streetlifting competition. Calisthenics with added weight — two full days of competition.
Kettlebell Competition Elite kettlebell athletes competing for the national crown. Technique-heavy and surprisingly watchable.
Arm Wrestling Challenge Beat the ArmKing at 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday (Stand #320) and walk away with $250. Worth a shot if you reckon you’ve got it in you.
Special Guests
The full guest lineup is still being finalised, but confirmed names include:
- Roelly Winklaar — Arnold Classic Champion and Mr. Olympia bodybuilder (appearing courtesy of Gymleco, MaxPump and Hoist USA)
- Eddie Williams — Two-time Australia’s Strongest Man, competing in the Strongman activation
- Kwame Duah — International fitness influencer
- Shane Pace — Fitness trainer and industry figure
More names are expected before the event. Follow the AusFitness Expo socials for updates.
The Pump Zone
Powered by Gymleco, MaxPump and Hoist Fitness, the Pump Zone is where you get to try premium gym equipment without a sales pitch breathing down your neck. Useful if you’re thinking about a home gym setup or if you’re a gym owner evaluating new equipment lines.
First-Timer Tips
1. Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be on your feet for hours on a concrete floor. Runners, not slides.
2. Go early. Doors open at 10am. The first hour is the quietest — best time to actually talk to exhibitors without being shoulder-to-shoulder.
3. Budget for purchases. The deals are genuinely good (especially on supplements and apparel), but set a limit before you walk in. It’s easy to overspend when everything’s discounted.
4. Plan your competition viewing. Check the schedule when you arrive and note the times for the events you want to watch. The Strongman and CrossFit competitions tend to draw the biggest crowds — get there early for a decent viewing spot.
5. Eat before you go. Food inside is expo-priced. South Wharf has restaurants nearby, or grab something on Clarendon Street before you head in.
6. Two days is better than one. Day one for the expo floor and shopping. Day two for the competitions and anything you missed.
Getting There
By Car
MCEC is approximately 25 minutes from Melbourne Airport (traffic depending). Secure undercover parking is available on-site via Wilson Parking — book ahead for the best rates. Additional parking at South Wharf Retail, Siddeley Street and Montague Street car parks.
By Public Transport
Take the 96 or 109 tram to the Convention Centre stop. From Flinders Street Station, it’s a 15-minute walk along the Yarra or a short tram ride.
By Bike
South Wharf is accessible via the Yarra Trail bike path. Bike parking is available at MCEC.
Is It Worth Going?
If you’re a fitness professional: Yes. The networking alone is worth the ticket price, and the ability to compare 100+ brands in one location saves weeks of research.
If you’re a regular gym-goer: Probably yes, especially if you enjoy live sport and want to try new products. The energy is infectious and the deals on supplements and gear are real.
If you’re casually curious: Maybe. It’s a big, loud, high-energy event. If you’re not particularly into fitness culture, you might find the novelty wears off after a couple of hours. But the live sport competitions are genuinely entertaining regardless.
Our verdict: The two-day adult pass at $50 is solid value for what you get. Go on Saturday for the buzz, come back Sunday to actually watch the competitions properly.
