Each was checked against two independent sources. We copied no menu prices, so there are no prices on this page. Hours appear only where a place’s own site lists them, and the entry says whose listing it is.

Indian Star — 254 Maribyrnong Road, Moonee Ponds VIC 3039
AGFG lists takeaway and vegan options for Indian Star. Its own site lists Monday to Friday from 4pm to 11pm and weekends from 11:30am to 11pm. A curry is a sauce-based dish eaten with rice or bread.
The move: Weekday service starts at 4pm on the site’s listing, so plan a dinner pick-up, not a lunch one.
Chili Pepper — 603 Mount Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds VIC 3039
AGFG lists takeaway for Chili Pepper. Its site lists weekend lunch from 12pm to 3pm, bookings essential, and dinner seven days from 5:30pm til late. The site is undated, so hedge on the hours.
The move: Ring ahead for a takeaway order, and note the booking rule on the site applies to weekend lunch.
Hunky Dory — 28 Pratt Street, Moonee Ponds VIC 3039
Hunky Dory’s site says it offers take away and packages everything so meals are fresh and tasty. Our records class it as a fish and chip shop. Fish and chips is battered fish with fried potato. We could not find published hours.
What it is: A fish and chip takeaway on Pratt Street, so the order is fish and chips.
Angie’s Kitchen — 21-31 Hall Street, Moonee Ponds VIC 3039
AGFG lists takeaway and alfresco dining for Angie’s Kitchen, with the address given as a shop inside Moonee Ponds Central. Its site lists 11:30am to 3pm and 5pm to 9pm Monday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday close at 9:30pm and Sunday at 8:30pm on the same listing. The site is undated.
What it is: A Chinese restaurant in a shopping centre, so allow time to find the shop.
Pizza Depot — 331 Mt Alexander Rd, Ascot Vale VIC 3032
Pizza Depot’s site mentions dine-in, takeaway and delivery options. It lists the Ascot Vale branch on Mt Alexander Rd, matching AGFG. We have printed no hours because the listings we found conflict.
The move: Say takeaway or delivery up front when you order, since the site offers both.
Le Smash Burgers & Fries — 21 Napier St, Essendon VIC 3040
AGFG lists vegan options, takeaway and alfresco dining for Le Smash Burgers & Fries. Its site lists Monday closed, Tuesday to Thursday 11.30am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 11.30am to 10.30pm and Sunday 11.30am to 9pm. A smash burger is a patty pressed flat on a hot grill.
The move: Skip Monday, because the site lists it as closed.
Sunrise Indian Restaurant — 498-500 Mt Alexander Road, Ascot Vale VIC 3032
AGFG lists takeaway for Sunrise Indian Restaurant, and its own site gives the address on Mt Alexander Rd in Ascot Vale. The site is undated. We could not find published hours.
