Correction (4 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 4 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.
Looking for a bakery near Ormond? This page covers four, each checked at two sources. Pastry first, hours second.
One is in McKinnon, two are in Bentleigh and one is in Caulfield, so all four are in and around Ormond rather than in it. Hours come from each place’s own listing, and we say whose listing it is.
Only one of the four publishes prices we could copy. For the others we say so and leave the numbers out.

Lumos Bakery — 240 McKinnon Road, McKinnon VIC 3204
Lumos calls itself “the home of quality artisan Sourdough and Pastries in McKinnon.” Its site lists hours as usually Wednesday to Sunday, 7am to 3pm or until sold out. That means the cabinet can empty early.
The online shop prints the Almond Croissant at $8.00, the Croissant at $6.00 and the Brownie Bomb at $8.80. Those are online-shop prices. One bakery, three prices, one clear verdict: this is the place with numbers.
On the menu (copied from lumosbakery.com.au on 4 October 2026):
- Almond Croissant: $8.00
- Hazelnut Croissant: $9.00
- Croissant: $6.00
- Brownie Bomb: $8.80
The order: the Almond Croissant at $8.00 on the online shop, and the Pain Au Chocolate at $6.50 if you want a second pastry.
Dana Patisserie — 347 Centre Road, Bentleigh VIC 3204
Dana’s site is titled “Dana Pattiserie - Artisan Baking”. It lists Monday to Friday 7 am to 4:30 pm, and weekends 7 am to 4:30 pm. The site also lists a Balaclava shop.
We could not find published prices. The site’s footer date is old, so confirm it is still trading before you make the trip. This is Bentleigh, not Ormond.
Go for: the weekend, since its own listing gives the same hours on Saturday and Sunday as on weekdays.
Artisanal Bakehouse — 313 Centre Rd, Bentleigh VIC 3204
The site says “Baked in Melbourne, born out of France.” The Original shop, on Centre Rd in Bentleigh, lists Monday to Sunday 7AM to 2PM. The site lists a second Bentleigh shop with different hours, so check you have the right one.
It also says “Pre-order and skip the line”. We could not read any prices.
The order: a pre-order, which is the one thing the site tells you to do before arriving.
Danish Nosh Bakery Cafe — 983 Glen Huntly Rd, Caulfield VIC 3162
Its menus page reads “Baked Goods – Cafe – Catering – Take Home Meals”, so the bakery is one part of a larger kitchen. Its own hours list Tuesday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday to Sunday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The listing does not include Monday.
The menus are downloadable files and we could not read prices from them. This one is in Caulfield, not Ormond.
Go for: the Baked Goods menu, which sits beside the cafe, catering and take-home options on its menus page.
Quick answers
Which bakeries are near Ormond?
Four are covered here: Lumos Bakery in McKinnon, Dana Patisserie and Artisanal Bakehouse in Bentleigh, and Danish Nosh Bakery Cafe in Caulfield. All four are in the suburbs around Ormond, not in Ormond itself.
What time does Lumos Bakery open?
Its site lists hours as usually Wednesday to Sunday, 7am to 3pm or until sold out. That wording means it can close early when stock runs out, and the days listed do not include Monday or Tuesday.
Which Ormond-area bakery is open seven days?
Artisanal Bakehouse’s Original shop in Bentleigh lists Monday to Sunday 7AM to 2PM on its own site. Dana Patisserie also lists weekday and weekend hours on its site, while Danish Nosh’s listing starts on Tuesday.
Do these bakeries publish their prices?
Only Lumos Bakery did, where the online shop prints the Almond Croissant at $8.00. We could not read prices for Dana Patisserie, Artisanal Bakehouse or Danish Nosh Bakery Cafe, so check with them before you go.
How we checked
We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 4 October 2026: OpenStreetMap, Broadsheet, the places’ own websites and the Australian Good Food Guide. Every price is copied exactly as printed on the page linked under Sources, on 4 October 2026. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go.
