Dogs and cafes do not always mix, and the rules sit with each venue. This page lists four places in and around Viewbank that carry a dog or pet signal, either in their own words or on the Australian Good Food Guide. That is a thin list, and none of the four is in Viewbank itself.
Two are true cafes, both in Rosanna. One pub terrace is in Lower Plenty and one pizza and burger place is in Montmorency. Each was checked against at least two independent sources.
We could not confirm a dog statement from any venue inside Viewbank, so the list is not padded. Where a venue only carries a tag, we say so. Where we could not find the rule, check with the venue.

Four Leaves Cafe Food Store — 37 Greville Rd, Rosanna VIC 3084
Status: dog item on the menu, no stated door policy. The menu at fourleavescafe.com lists a puppy chino at $6.50, described as lactose free frothed milk topped with carob powder and served with a side of two puppy biscuits. That is a dog menu, not a seating rule. We could not find the words dogs welcome on the pages we read, so ask whether dogs sit inside or only at the outdoor tables.

Status: listed as pet friendly on AGFG. That is a feature tag from the guide, not a statement from the cafe, and the cafe’s own website did not load when we checked. AGFG also lists Alfresco Dining, but the listing does not say where pets may sit. Treat it as a lead worth a phone call.
Inside or outside only: Not stated. AGFG lists Alfresco Dining and Pet Friendly as separate tags, so ask which tables count.
Lower Plenty Hotel — 4 Main Road, Lower Plenty VIC 3093
Status: the clearest written rule on this page. The hotel’s FAQ asks whether dogs are allowed on the terrace and answers that furry babies are most welcome, so long as they enjoy their puppuccinos, and it asks that they are on a leash. The site also says it accepts walk-ins only in its terrace. This is a pub, not a cafe, and it sits in Lower Plenty, outside Viewbank. Its menus are images on the site, so we list no prices.
Off-leash status: None. The hotel’s own FAQ asks that dogs are on a leash on the terrace.
Max’s Woodfired Pizza & Burgers — 6 Were Street, Montmorency VIC 3094
Status: tagged Pet Friendly on AGFG. That is the guide’s tag, and the venue’s own site, as we read it, does not say where pets may sit. It is in Montmorency, not Viewbank. Its site and AGFG give different hours, so confirm before you drive.
On the menu (copied from maxswoodfiredpizza.com on 4 October 2026):
