A long shift is a poor time to discover that the size you ordered was a guess. Before buying compression socks, separate three questions: whether that type of product is appropriate for you, whether the size is right, and whether the merchant’s terms suit the purchase. A discount does not answer any of them.
Before you commit
| Check | What to look for | Why it changes the purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Measurements | The current product-specific calf, ankle and size chart. | A usual shoe size alone may not select the right fit. |
| Delivered cost | Product price, quantity, delivery, optional extras and any verified discount. | The checkout total matters more than a crossed-out headline price. |
| Returns | Unworn/unused conditions, time limits, packaging and who pays postage. | Do not assume you can wear a pair through a shift and then return it. |
Measure before you add to cart
TheraWear publishes a sizing guide using ankle and calf measurements alongside shoe-size guidance. Use the current chart for the exact product you are considering. If the measurements do not line up or you are unsure, ask the merchant before ordering rather than relying on a generic “true to size” claim.
Compression level and suitability are separate from choosing a colour or size. If a clinician has given you instructions, or you have a health concern, follow qualified advice about the appropriate product. This article does not prescribe compression or promise a medical result.
Read the return conditions before opening the packaging
The merchant’s FAQ describes unworn or unused goods with tags and original packaging for ordinary returns. Read the current policy at purchase time, including any time limits, postage costs and exclusions. Marketing language about comfort is not automatically a wear-and-return guarantee.
Check the order summary for optional extras and the delivery method. Compare the full amount payable with another suitable option. Buying extra pairs solely to cross a delivery threshold can increase the total spend.
What we can and cannot tell you
We can link to the merchant’s specifications, size information and stated purchase conditions. We have not conducted an independent twelve-hour wear trial, compared medical performance or verified a therapeutic outcome. We do not turn the manufacturer’s claims into a personal testimonial.
If you decide the product is suitable, use the current merchant page to check sizing and terms before paying. Keep the order confirmation. A well-informed purchase is the goal; buying nothing is also a valid outcome.
